1. General terms of service

Terapiaartis.fi is a safe, free, and anonymous publishing platform maintained by Terapia artis ry for visual art created by individuals who have experienced mental health challenges.

Target group and themes:
The service is primarily intended for people who have faced mental health challenges and wish to express their inner world through visual art.

Low-threshold principle:
Participants are not required to have formal art education, professional skills, or medical diagnoses.

Anonymity and registration:
No registration is required to use the service. Artworks can be submitted anonymously using a pseudonym (e.g., “Anonymous2023”).

Equality and non-discrimination:
Terapia artis ry operates in accordance with the principles of equality and non-discrimination.

2. Published art and content

2.1 Accepted art forms

The following forms of visual art are published on the platform:

Paintings
Drawings
Sculptures
Both handmade and digital visual art

2.2 Restrictions on published content

Terapiaartis.fi does not publish:

Photographic art
Functional objects
AI-generated art

In addition, the service will not publish content that is:

Illegal
Racist or discriminatory
Inciting crime
Openly promoting drug use

2.3 Texts and language

Any text appearing in artworks, as well as artwork titles and descriptions, must be in Finnish or English.

3. Submitting an artwork

Participants are responsible for the accuracy and quality of the information they submit.

Image requirements:
The submitted image must be a high-quality photograph of the artwork. When photographing, avoid blur, shadows, and reflections.

Accepted file formats: jpg, jpeg, png, gif.
The image must be at least 1200 pixels in width or height, and the file size must not exceed 4 megabytes (MB).

Required information:
The submission form must include the following fields:

Title of the artwork (if untitled, number the work)
Artist’s name or pseudonym (use a pseudonym to ensure anonymity)
Password (required for using the same name/pseudonym in future submissions)
Confirmation that the artwork is original and owned by the participant (Consent)

Public information:
The artwork’s title, artist’s pseudonym/name, country, category, and description are public information.

Password:
Setting a password allows the same pseudonym or name to be used for future submissions.

4. Copyright and usage rights

Copyright:
All rights to the submitted artworks remain with their creators.

Usage rights:
By submitting an artwork, the participant grants Terapia artis ry the right to publish the artwork on the Terapiaartis.fi platform and on the association’s social media channels in accordance with the organization’s goals.

Restrictions:
Terapia artis ry will not publish artworks on platforms other than those mentioned above.

5. Service maintenance and rights

Terapia artis ry is a non-profit, nationwide association funded by grants. The purpose of the service is to promote cultural well-being, peer support, art, and inclusion.
